Morocco vs Iran Today’s Soccer Prediction
Morocco has a strong team with many creative players. Traditionally, African teams have problems defensively, with too much focus on the creative midfielders. Morocco also has good creative midfielder players, but at the same time has Africa’s strongest defense, which their qualification also showed. Morocco did not close a single goal into the qualification.
Their defense will be: Dirar (Fenebache) – Benatia (Juventus) – Saiss (Wolves) – Hakimi (Real Madrid). It’s an extremely good defense, which I expect to be able to shut down for Iran’s long balls.
In the midfield, Morocco also has solid players. Haku Ziyech from Ajax has had a phenomenal season with 9 goals and 17 assists, and rumors are on his way to a bigger club this summer. Boussoufa from Al-Jazira is the deputy leader and incredibly important in Makorro’s play. Amine Harit from Schalke has also had a great season.
Iran has one of Asia’s strongest defense in the qualification. 9 clean sheets in 10 matches, they managed, which is quite impressive. One of the main reasons for the strong defensive must be found in Saeid Ezatollahi, which is the defensive midfield for Iran. He is the team’s only pure DMC and is crucial to the structure of the defense. He is not in the first match due to a quarantine after a red card in the last qualifying match. Iranian TV made an analysis of Iran’s matches without Ezatollahi and showed that there were big holes in the back midfield which forced the central defenders farther further, which again left behind the defenses.
Morocco plays a high pressure in which the ball tries to conquer early, and then plays it in behind the defense. Here I think they will be able to create chances against an Iranian defense that is not in balance without Ezatollah.
As previously written, Iran has a strong defense with 9 clean sheets in line with the qualifications.
It’s the first battle, why there can be some nervousness. It is the crucial battle for both teams if they have any hope to move on. It can therefore go and become a very tactical practitioner without any goals
Morocco lacks a good assailant who can decide the fighting for them. Boutaib from Yeni Malatyaspor in the Turkish league is the best bet on a start striker. He has scored 12 goals in the league, which is not too bad for a team, but it is not something that scares any team.
Prediction Today: Morocco wins
